The 33rd International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival is set to take place at the Aspendos Ancient Theatre from September 12 to 26. Organized by the State Opera and Ballet General Directorate, the event will feature four major works presented across six performances, with all shows starting at 21:00.

The festival opens on September 12 with Giuseppe Verdi's three-act opera 'Attila,' performed by the Antalya State Opera and Ballet under the direction of Yiğit Günsoy and conductor Lorenzo Castriota. On September 15, the program continues with a neo-classical ballet adaptation of Leo Tolstoy's 'Anna Karenina,' featuring music by Tchaikovsky, Puccini, and Prokofiev, with choreography by Young Soon Hue.

Additionally, Carl Orff's stage cantata 'Carmina Burana' will be performed on September 19 and 21. The festival also highlights international cultural exchange through the participation of the Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Abay from Kazakhstan.
