Aspettando Mr Hyde documentary premieres at Rome Film Fest
The documentary ‘Aspettando Mr Hyde’, directed by Donatella Romani and Roberto Amato, was presented at the Rome Film Fest. Hosted by actor Gianmarco Tognazzi, the film provides an intimate look at hereditary angioedema, a rare pathology characterized by sudden, disfiguring swelling of the eyes, mouth, and limbs, often accompanied by severe abdominal pain and risks of suffocation.
The documentary is structured into five chapters that trace the protagonists' journeys, covering their initial diagnosis, the sacrifices made, the search for a new equilibrium, the importance of medical research, and the lessons learned from the condition. It aims to highlight how modern therapeutic innovations allow patients to better manage both prophylaxis and acute attacks, reducing the overall burden of the disease.
