ASPIMTEL hosts inaugural Mobile Legends esports tournament

The Telecommunications Tower Infrastructure Provider Association (ASPIMTEL) held its inaugural Mobile Legends esports tournament in Jakarta on September 4, 2026. The event was organized as part of the 81st Hari Bhakti Postel commemorations to foster collaboration and positive competition within Indonesia's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry and digital ecosystem.

The tournament featured 24 teams from various ICT companies and institutions, including participation from the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi). Aryo Pamoragung, Secretary of the Directorate General of the Digital Ecosystem at Komdigi, highlighted the significant economic potential of the gaming industry. He noted that Indonesia's gaming industry valuation reached Rp32 trillion in 2025, with PwC predicting the Indonesian esports market could reach USD 2.4 billion by 2029.
