ASPIRASI proposes 10% increase for Indonesia's 2027 minimum wage

Mirah Sumirat, President of the All Indonesia Workers Union Association (ASPIRASI), has proposed a 10% increase in the minimum wage for 2027. The proposal suggests a calculation model that moves away from using the alpha coefficient, instead focusing on inflation, economic growth, and results from Decent Living Standard (KHL) market surveys.

Sumirat emphasized that maintaining stable food prices and controlled inflation is essential to ensure that wage increases preserve worker purchasing power. The current discussion regarding the 2027 minimum wage remains pending as the government and parliament focus on the drafting of the new Labor Law.
