Aspromonte excursion scheduled for Puntone Guglielmazzo

An excursion titled ‘Odissea d’Aspromonte – Cime e Creste’ is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026. The trek focuses on the area around Puntone Guglielmazzo in the Aspromonte region.

Participants will gather at 9:30 AM at the Bagnara Calabra exit of the A3 motorway before proceeding toward Solano. The excursion begins at 10:30 AM, following a loop trail through pastures and valley floors. The route features diverse vegetation and offers panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian coast and the Strait of Messina.

The path follows ancient mule tracks and connection trails through abandoned houses and historical work tracks along the southern ridges of the Piani d’Aspromonte. The route passes through the Scapolelle plains and the Sant’Antonio ridge, eventually leading toward the rural hamlet of Acerello in the territory of Scilla.
