Aspromonte National Park to host 42nd Marcialonga Verde race

The 42nd edition of the Marcialonga Verde Aspromonte Gambarie 2026 is set to take place on Tuesday, August 18, within the Aspromonte National Park. Organized by Csi Reggio Calabria and the Municipality of Santo Stefano in Aspromonte, the event features a 7 km mixed-terrain race alongside a non-competitive 4 km run.

Designed to be inclusive, the event includes the ‘Marcialonga in Famiglia 2.0’ contest for parents and children, as well as the ‘Kids Run 2026’ for children aged 3 to 6. Francesco Malara, Mayor of Santo Stefano in Aspromonte, highlighted the event's ability to bring together athletes, families, and tourists to experience the natural landscape of the park.
