ASReM and unions suspend healthcare strike following agreement
The Azienda Sanitaria Regionale del Molise (ASReM) and several healthcare unions, including CISL FP, FIALS, and NURSIND, have signed a programmatic agreement to suspend a strike previously scheduled for September 7, 2026.
The agreement addresses critical organizational and staffing issues through several key commitments. ASReM has pledged to conduct a comprehensive mapping of operational units facing staff shortages and will establish new guidelines for internal mobility within hospitals and districts. Additionally, a new three-year Personnel Needs Plan is expected to be presented by September 2026.
To address immediate staffing needs, the agency is launching recruitment efforts, including a public competition for 16 permanent nursing positions and a voluntary mobility notice for 15 additional permanent staff from other national health service entities. The deal also aims to improve transparency in staff assignments and address concerns regarding nurses performing duties outside their official classifications.
