Assaí Atacadista butcher stabs three coworkers in Jundiaí, Brazil
On August 3, a 48‑year‑old butcher at an Assaí Atacadista supermarket in Jundiaí, São Paulo, attacked three colleagues with a knife. The victims, aged 25, 28 and 37, suffered injuries to the face and shoulder; two were directly hit, while the third was treated for minor wounds. The assailant also sustained light injuries during the struggle.
Police say the suspect claimed he had been bullied and threatened at work for about a month and intended to kill as many people as possible. He was arrested on the scene, charged with qualified attempted homicide, and taken to the Jundiaí police station. The supermarket evacuated customers, provided medical aid to the injured, and issued a statement confirming the incident and pledging cooperation with authorities.
