Assad Al-Hamlawi scores first goal for Palestine national team

Assad Al-Hamlawi, the 25-year-old striker for Universitatea Craiova, has scored his first goal for the Palestine national team. The Swedish-born player of Palestinian descent was called up to the squad by coach Ihab Abu Jazar.

During a friendly match against New Zealand in China, which ended in a 2-2 draw, Al-Hamlawi scored following a corner kick. His performance has earned him significant praise from Palestinian supporters, who have nicknamed him ‘The Bulldozer’ and referred to him as a ‘king’ on social media.

Following his successful debut, Al-Hamlawi is expected to remain in the starting eleven for Palestine's upcoming matches in China, including a fixture against Tajikistan and a match against China on October 2.
