Assala Nasri concert advertisements torn down in Damascus

Advertisements for an upcoming concert by singer Assala Nasri in Damascus have been torn down by individuals citing religious and social objections. Videos of the incident have circulated widely on social media, sparking debate between those who support artistic events in the Syrian capital and those who oppose them.

Assala Nasri is scheduled to perform at the Al-Fayhaa Sports Hall on September 17. This event marks her return to performing in Syria after several years of absence. The singer has described the concert as a significant emotional milestone, noting that it represents a “new birth” for her connection with her home audience.

In an effort to add a humanitarian dimension to the event, Nasri previously announced that half of the concert's profits would be donated to charitable organizations.
