Assam Jatiya Parishad holds blood donation drives to honor Zubeen Garg

The Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) observed ‘Manobotar Din’ across Assam as part of the ‘Zubeen Garg Memorial Week’. The initiative focused on blood donation drives to honor the humanitarian ideals and social responsibility associated with the late Zubeen Garg.

In Guwahati, a central program was held at the Narengi field, where AJP president Lurinjyoti Gogoi and other party leaders participated in donating blood. District committees across the state organized similar drives, with approximately 101 leaders, workers, and supporters participating from each committee to support those in urgent need.

AJP leadership emphasized that the goal of the memorial week is to translate Garg’s values of love and humanity into tangible social actions. Following the blood donation drives, the party planned further initiatives, including a ‘Book Day’ to continue the commemorative activities.
