Assam MLA Pallab Lochan Das launches Diksha education initiative in Biswanath
Biswanath MLA Pallab Lochan Das inaugurated the ‘Diksha’ programme on 3 August 2026, with Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu presiding over the ceremony at the Kamalakanta Natya Samaj hall. The state‑government initiative targets students and educated youth in the Biswanath Assembly constituency, aiming to expand access to quality learning resources and leverage technology such as YouTube‑based teaching.
A central component is the ‘Super 30’ scheme, which will provide free, high‑quality coaching for 30 meritorious students preparing for national competitive exams like NEET and JEE. Coaching responsibilities have been assigned to HELION, a leading institute in exam preparation. Officials and local dignitaries, including District Commissioner Karabi Saikia Karan and Biswanath District Medical College principal Hiranya Bora, attended the launch, which has been welcomed as a focused effort to level the educational playing field for talented youth in the region.
