Assam Rifles DG Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera performs Ganpati Aarti in Pune

Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, Director General of Assam Rifles, performed the Ganpati Aarti at the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Mandal in Pune on Sunday. During the event, Lakhera expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to visit the shrine and offered prayers for India's progress, safety, and the prosperity of its citizens.

Reflecting on the history of the mandal, Lakhera noted that the idol was created during British rule. He described the tradition as a source of national inspiration, stating that the history of the site serves as a reminder that nothing is greater than the nation, especially during times of crisis.

The visit occurred during the ongoing Ganeshotsav celebrations in Maharashtra, which began on September 14 and are scheduled to conclude with idol immersions on September 25.
