Assam Rifles launches Seema Darshan tour for Nagaland students

The Assam Rifles has launched a 10-day ‘Seema Darshan Tour’ for 20 students and two teachers from the Government Higher Secondary School, Rusoma, in Kohima, Nagaland. Organized under the Operation Sadbhavna project, the initiative is designed to expose youth from remote regions to India’s cultural diversity and the strategic importance of its frontier areas.

Led by Major General Harinder Singh Mavi, Inspector General of the Assam Rifles (North), the tour includes visits to Guwahati, Tenga, Tawang, and Tezpur. The itinerary provides students with the opportunity to interact with defense personnel, including the General Officer Commanding of the 5 Mountain Division, to gain insights into the challenges of safeguarding national borders.

This program serves to strengthen the relationship between the armed forces and local communities while fostering a deeper understanding of national unity. This marks the second such tour for Nagaland youth this year, following previous trips to locations such as Kolkata and Delhi.
