Ubisoft shows new Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced trailer at Summer Game Fest

During the opening conference of the 2026 Summer Game Fest, Ubisoft presented a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. The preview features a re‑imagined version of the classic sea‑shanty “Leave Her Johnny” performed by Grammy‑nominated artist Woodkid, which will also appear in the game and be released on streaming platforms.

The remake is scheduled for release on 9 July 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, available via Ubisoft+, the Ubisoft Store, Steam and the Epic Games Store. Ubisoft highlighted several technical and gameplay upgrades, including revamped combat, more fluid parkour, enhanced naval battles, ray‑traced graphics, Dolby Atmos support and a refreshed Caribbean environment. New narrative content brings expanded roles for historical figures such as Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet.

For German‑language players, Ubisoft confirmed that many original voice actors will reprise their roles, including Tobias Kluckert as Edward Kenway and Klaus‑Dieter Klebsch as Blackbeard, while some supporting characters will receive new talent.

The trailer and accompanying details underscore Ubisoft’s effort to modernise the 2013 classic while preserving its core pirate‑adventure spirit.
