Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced sees new mod and DLC rumors

The remake Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is seeing significant activity from both its modding community and potential future content expansions. A fan-made mod titled “Unarmed Combat,” created by kamzik123 and hosted on Nexus Mods, has restored the ability for players to fight with their fists. While the mod allows Edward Kenway to defeat enemies using only his fists, it currently has a limitation where finishing moves still utilize sword animations.

Regarding official content, rumors from insider Jorraptor suggest Ubisoft may be developing a new story expansion dedicated to Edward Kenway, which could add approximately six hours of gameplay. While not officially confirmed, director Richard Knight has confirmed that a New Game+ mode is a high priority for development.

A recent patch, version 1.0.6, addressed several technical issues, including increasing the number of autosaves, fixing a 30 FPS cutscene bug on PC, and adding a toggle to hide the blowpipe gear. However, developers have confirmed that the multiplayer mode and the Freedom Cry expansion will not be included in this remake.
