Assassin's Creed Hexe slated for June 2027 release with three editions and new fear system

Ubisoft's upcoming title Assassin's Creed Hexe is projected to launch in June 2027, though the date is labeled a placeholder and may shift. The game will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a PEGI 18 rating. Three retail versions are planned: a Standard edition priced at $69.99, a Deluxe edition at $89.99 and a Collector’s edition at $119.99, each expected to include an expansion‑style story DLC and a pre‑order bonus quest.

The setting moves to Würzburg, Germany, during the 1625‑1631 witch‑hunt era, featuring a protagonist named Anika who is hinted to be a descendant of Ezio Auditore. Gameplay will focus on a more linear world composed of villages, forests and towns, with an enhanced parkour system and a revamped audio engine that muffles sounds through walls. Notably, the “Fear” system from the Jack the Ripper DLC of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate returns, causing NPCs to panic, mis‑fire or flee when threatened.

Magic has been removed, and the overall tone is described as darker and horror‑infused. Ubisoft has not officially confirmed these details, which come from leaker Rogue’s recent disclosures.
