Ubisoft reports strong sales for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and announces New Game Plus
Ubisoft's remake Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced launched on Steam and quickly became the franchise's top‑performing title, selling 701,000 copies and generating roughly $35 million in gross revenue in its first four days. The game also reached two million copies sold within 24 hours of release, according to the publisher’s official statement.
The company confirmed that a free post‑launch update will add a New Game Plus mode, new legacy costumes for Ezio Auditore and Altair, and the possibility of exclusive rewards, though no release date was provided. Development director Richard Knight said the feature is a priority and builds on work done for Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Separate from the sales push, Ubisoft rolled out patch 1.0.4, fixing numerous bugs across saving, localisation, combat, naval navigation and performance, and improving stability on PC, console and cloud versions. Critics have highlighted the remake’s rebuilt Caribbean world, 4K graphics, and refreshed gameplay as key draws for both returning fans and new players.
