Asseco Resovia bolsters squad with Olympic silver medalist Łukasz Kaczmarek
Polish volleyball powerhouse Asseco Resovia Rzeszów announced the signing of Olympic silver‑medallist and three‑time Champions League winner Łukasz Kaczmarek for the 2025/26 Tauron Liga season. The 32‑year‑old opposite hitter, a key figure in Poland’s recent successes at the Nations League, European Championship and the Paris 2024 Olympics, joins the club after two seasons with Jastrzębski Węgiel, where he amassed 66 league matches and 801 points.
The club also confirmed the acquisition of veteran receiver Kamil Kwasowski, who will enter his 14th top‑flight season. Kwasowski, born in 1990, brings experience from stints with BBTS Bielsko‑Biała, Cerrad Czarni Radom, GKS Katowice, PSG Stal Nysa and KGHM Cuprum Lubin/Cuprum Stilon Gorzów, having played 349 PlusLiga matches. Club president Piotr Maciąg praised both players, highlighting Kaczmarek’s leadership and Kwasowski’s versatility as crucial for the team’s competitive aims.
