Asseco Solutions partners with Avalara to simplify US tax and e‑invoice compliance

Karlsruhe‑based ERP specialist Asseco Solutions announced a partnership with Avalara, a leading global provider of tax compliance software. The joint solution will enable businesses to calculate U.S. sales‑tax liabilities accurately and meet electronic invoicing requirements in more than 50 countries, supporting firms that are expanding abroad amid rising protectionist measures and high import duties.

Ralf Bachthaler, board member of Asseco Solutions, said that “in times of growing protectionism the only viable option for many companies is to establish local production to avoid high import fees, but the complexity of differing tax rules and e‑invoice mandates often discourages international expansion.” The integration aims to address those challenges by automating tax calculations that vary by product type, seller location and buyer location within the United States, and by ensuring compliance with electronic invoicing standards worldwide.
