Assembleia Legislativa da Paraíba plans new civil service exam

The Legislative Assembly of Paraíba (AL PB) is preparing for a new public civil service examination, the first in 14 years. According to Álvaro Dantas, the Secretary of Administration and Human Resources, the official notice (edital) is expected to be published in 2026, with examinations potentially scheduled for 2027.

A special planning commission has already been established to manage administrative procedures, including determining the number of vacancies and selecting the organizing board. The state government has also authorized supplementary credit to fund the process.

Available positions include various levels of expertise. High-level roles such as Auditor and Procurador offer initial salaries ranging from approximately R$ 17,399.75 to R$ 20,707.12, with potential increases at the end of their careers. Other roles include Consultant, Analyst, Technical Advisor, and Legislative Assistant, with salaries varying based on education level and career progression.
