Raúl Fernández Wins MotoGP Sprint at Assen, Trackhouse Aprilia 1‑2 Finish

Raúl Fernández (Trackhouse Aprilia) won the MotoGP sprint race at the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen, finishing ahead of teammate Ai Ogura who took second place and Ducati rider Fabio Di Giannantonio who completed the podium. Fernández said, “I’m very happy and proud of the work we’ve done; we showed we can lead with confidence.”

Francesco Bagnaia was penalised for exceeding track limits, dropping one position and promoting Marc Márquez to sixth. Marco Bezzecchi retained the championship lead, extending his advantage to 186 points. The sprint results reshuffled the riders’ points battle heading into Sunday’s main race.

In the supporting classes, David Alonso claimed his second consecutive Moto2 pole, while Máximo Quiles secured the Moto3 pole. Both performances underline the competitive depth of the Assen weekend across all categories.

The sprint also featured occurrences such as retirements for Jack Miller, Franco Morbidelli and Joan Mir, and a strong showing from the Aprilia‑based machines, marking a dominant weekend for the Italian‑Japanese collaboration.
