Assetto Corsa EVO receives 0.9 update with new cars and pit stops

Assetto Corsa EVO has released update 0.9, a significant patch aimed at addressing technical issues and enhancing competitive motorsport features. The game, currently in Early Access, has faced criticism regarding optimization, with player approval ratings sitting at approximately 58 percent.

The update introduces three new vehicles: the Mazda RX7 FD Spirit R (Type A), the Audi R8 LMS GT2, and the Audi R8 V10 performance quattro. To improve the racing experience, developers have implemented mandatory pit stops in multiplayer servers, requiring players to manage fuel consumption and tire wear.

Additional features include “Special Events,” which allow drivers to compete under identical environmental conditions with global leaderboards for both hotlap and hotstint modes. Technical improvements have also been made to vehicle physics, tire models, rendering, and general bug fixes reported by the community.
