Assis Brasil receives land titles, advancing regularization for KM 02 residents

The municipality of Assis Brasil in the state of Acre received three definitive land titles for areas within the city, marking a major step in the regularisation of property ownership. The hand‑over took place in Rio Branco, where Mayor Jerry Correia, the municipal planning secretary and a finance department architect met with the INCRA super‑intendant for Acre and a representative from the agency in Brasília.

The titles cover the KM 02 neighbourhood, allowing the municipality to transfer legal ownership from the Union to the city and to continue the process of issuing definitive titles to families. Mayor Correia said the achievement “represents a long‑standing fight and a great victory for the families of KM 02,” thanking INCRA and ITERACRE for their support. The partnership with the Institute of Lands of Acre (ITERACRE) will enable the next steps toward granting the residents their final titles, which are expected to improve security, property values and urban planning in Assis Brasil.
