Assisi hosts floral festivals and botanical competitions

Assisi is hosting several cultural and botanical events focused on floral displays and nature. The Parco del Lavandeto di Assisi is holding the ‘Festa delle Salvie e dell’Autunno’, scheduled for dates across September and October 2026. The event features a plant and flower market, including ornamental sage, lavender, and aromatic herbs, alongside activities such as yoga, painting workshops, and animal encounters.

Additionally, the Municipality of Assisi held an awards ceremony on September 25, 2026, for the ‘Balconi fioriti e Infiorate’ competition. This initiative, aimed at enhancing the urban landscape, saw 35 decorated balconies and terraces compete, along with 18 floral carpets (infiorate) located in the historic center and Petrignano. Mayor Valter Stoppini and local officials presented awards to participants for their artistic and religious-themed floral compositions.
