Italy local news: infrastructure, traffic, and environmental updates

Various local administrative and infrastructure updates are occurring across several Italian regions.

In Milan, following a hydrocarbon spill in the Naviglio Grande that created a 28-kilometer trail, absorbent barriers have been removed from the Darsena. While the threat has been isolated, navigation remains prohibited as a precaution. Cleanup efforts continue in Magenta and along the Soncina stream.

In Assisi, the Matteotti parking structure is fully reopening following repairs from a previous fire, with existing resident discounts and student benefits maintained.

Infrastructure and traffic management updates include: night-time paving works on the A8 and D08 motorways near Varese; the conclusion of the summer ZTL in Parco del Mare Nord; new road signage implementation in Fermo; and various road closures and maintenance in Arezzo, Crissolo, and San Sebastiano al Vesuvio.

In Treviso, authorities have conducted cleaning and sanitization at the Appiani parking area to address illegal encampments, and in Ferrara, the municipality has issued a formal warning to a company attempting to convert a residential green space into a private parking lot.
