Giro d'Abruzzo 2026 announced with four‑stage race across the region

The 2026 edition of the Giro d'Abruzzo will take place from 15 to 18 September, covering 640 kilometres and 8,200 metres of total elevation over four stages that cross the four provinces of Abruzzo. The race starts in Cupello and finishes in Controguerra, with a mountain finish on the Majella slopes, a challenging climb from Popoli Terme to Caramanico Terme, a flat rapid stage across the Marsica and Fucino plain, and a hilly finale through the Teramo hills. Organized by RCS Sport in partnership with the Abruzzo Region, the event is presented as a tool for territorial promotion and tourism, aiming to showcase the region’s coast, mountains, historic villages and natural parks to a national and international audience. Regional President Marco Marsilio and RCS Sport executives highlighted the race’s role in boosting local visibility and supporting community development. Nineteen professional teams will compete, with daily live television coverage and Radio Delta 1 as the official broadcaster.
