Assiut Governor announces urban planning and population awareness updates

Assiut Governor Mohamed Alwan has announced significant administrative and social development updates within the governorate.

In terms of urban planning, the governorate is updating the urban boundaries for 30 villages across several districts, including Assiut, Manfalut, Al Qusiya, Dairut, Al Ghanayem, and Sidfa. This initiative, coordinated with the General Organization for Physical Planning, aims to optimize land use, support future expansion, and meet growing developmental needs in rural areas.

Simultaneously, the governorate's Population Unit has conducted 123 activities over the past month, reaching 16,462 beneficiaries. These programs focus on various social challenges, including reproductive health, combating illegal migration, addressing cyberbullying, and promoting environmental awareness. The initiatives are part of a broader strategy to improve quality of life and support Egypt's 2030 vision through community engagement and economic empowerment.
