Assiut Governor inspects sewage projects and educational facilities

Assiut Governor Mohamed Alwan conducted field inspections to monitor various development and educational projects within the governorate.

In the rural areas of Assiut Center, the Governor inspected sewage projects in the villages of Awlad Ibrahim and Al-Mutia. The project in Awlad Ibrahim involves an investment of approximately 164 million EGP, with total investments for the targeted villages reaching 214 million EGP to serve roughly 20,000 residents. The infrastructure includes a lifting station, networks totaling 14.5 kilometers, and a 13.5-kilometer discharge line. Alwan emphasized the importance of completing domestic connections to ensure citizens benefit from state investments in water and sanitation.

Additionally, Alwan visited the Assiut Al-Azhar region to inspect educational facilities and vocational workshops, including wood recycling and sewing workshops at the Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Primary Al-Azhar Institute. During the visit, which coincided with the start of the 2026/2027 academic year, the Governor reviewed the regularity of classes and the productivity of student training activities, reaffirming the state's commitment to human development and Al-Azhar education.
