Assiut Governor stops vehicles transporting children unsafely in Manfalut
Assiut Governor Mohamed Alwan conducted a surprise field inspection in the Manfalut district, where he intervened to stop two vehicles transporting children in unsafe conditions. The first incident involved a pickup truck loaded with a large number of children on the Mandara Bridge, while the second involved an unlicensed tricycle without license plates carrying approximately 10 children on the Manfalut Bridge.
Following the intervention, Alwan ordered legal action against the drivers, including the seizure of licenses and the impounding of the tricycle. To ensure the children's safety, the Governor provided a government bus to transport them securely back to their homes in the village of Gezirat al-Hawatka. Alwan emphasized that protecting citizens, particularly children, is a top priority and warned that there will be no leniency regarding traffic violations that endanger lives.
