Asskha Sumathra to Perform in Punta Arenas After Viña del Mar Victory

Transformist comedian Asskha Sumathra, who made history as the first trans artist to win at the Viña del Mar Festival 2026, will stage a new show in Punta Arenas. The performance, titled "Iconika: lo que no se vio en Viña," is scheduled for Friday, 31 July, at 21:00 in the Salón de Eventos of Casino Dreams.

The program will feature jokes, anecdotes and material that were omitted from the televised broadcast of her Viña del Mar set due to time constraints and screen censorship. Sumathra’s breakthrough at the Quinta Vergara, where she earned the Gaviotas de Plata y Oro, marked a milestone for the festival and for trans representation in Chilean entertainment.
