Asso to host cultural walking tour exploring local history and textile traditions

The association Sentiero dei Sogni is organizing a creative walking tour in Asso on September 6. Part of the fifth Lake Como Walking Festival, the event focuses on the theme ‘Boats and Shuttles.’

The three-kilometer loop will begin at the town hall and explore historical sites including the former Prato silk mill, the Livio and Oltolina cotton mills, the Asso Prepositural Church, and the Castle of Asso. The tour will feature historical image projections and readings by the Sentiero dei Sogni reading group. The walk concludes at the former Verza silk mill, which currently houses the Salvatore Fiume Foundation.

Participation is free, though registration is mandatory.
