Associação Catarinense de Imprensa to inaugurate new board

The Associação Catarinense de Imprensa (ACI) will hold an inauguration ceremony for its new Executive Board, Superior Council, and Fiscal Council on August 31 at 7:00 p.m. The event will take place at the ACI headquarters in the Agronômica neighborhood of Florianópolis.

Journalist Lúcia Helena Vieira will assume the presidency for the 2026–2029 term, succeeding Déborah Almada. The new executive leadership includes José Augusto Gayoso as 1st Vice-President, Marcos Antônio Bedin as 2nd Vice-President, Mariana Baima as 1st Secretary, Veruska Tasca as 2nd Secretary, Paulo Roberto Fernandes as 1st Treasurer, and João Pedro Alves as 2nd Treasurer.

The three-year mandate aims to continue the association's mission of valuing journalism and defending communication within the state.
