Associação Comercial da Bahia celebrates 215 years

The Associação Comercial da Bahia (ACB) is celebrating its 215th anniversary with a series of commemorative events in Salvador. As one of the oldest business institutions in the Americas, founded in 1811, the ACB is being honored with a special session at the Legislative Assembly of Bahia (ALBA).

The anniversary program includes the ‘Diálogos que Transformam’ initiative, which will feature former Brazilian President Michel Temer. Temer is scheduled to participate in an exclusive screening of the documentary ‘963 Dias’, which covers his period in office, and will deliver a lecture to business leaders, journalists, and guests.

Isabela Suarez, the current president of the ACB and only the second woman to lead the institution in its history, emphasized the importance of the organization in representing business interests and fostering economic development and dialogue within the state of Bahia.
