Associação de Futebol de Évora celebrates centenary

The Associação de Futebol de Évora is celebrating its centenary, marking a century of influence in the Alentejo Central region. Natanael Vinha, first secretary of the Comunidade Intermunicipal do Alentejo Central (CIMAC), highlighted the association’s role as an agent of social cohesion and human development.

Beyond organizing football and futsal competitions, the association has been recognized for its work in referee training, women’s football, and supporting local clubs. Vinha noted that these sports structures provide essential opportunities for youth and promote values such as respect and teamwork within the community.
