Associated British Ports appoints new leadership in Humber
Associated British Ports (ABP) has announced two key leadership appointments at its Humber container terminals to support growing operations in Immingham and Hull. Jamie Pearson has been named Head of Unitised Operations (Humber), a newly created strategic role designed to oversee short sea shipping routes, border control posts, and future RoRo opportunities.
Alex Pickett has been promoted to Immingham Container Terminal Manager, succeeding Pearson. Pickett, who began his career with ABP as a mechanical apprentice, previously served as the Engineering Lead for crane operations.
The appointments follow a period of significant growth for the Humber terminals, which have seen volumes increase by more than 40% over the last five years. ABP has invested £50 million in these facilities, which currently handle more than 500,000 TEUs annually and facilitate 26 vessel calls per week connecting the region to European markets.
