Association Arc-en-ciel votes to continue operations despite financial challenges
The Association Arc-en-ciel held an extraordinary general meeting to address financial challenges and future prospects. During the session, members voted to continue the association's activities despite ongoing fiscal difficulties.
A key update involved the reclassification of a CUCM subsidy from an investment to an operating subsidy of €22,386. This adjustment improved the operating result from a deficit of €43,378 to €20,538, though cash reserves remain low. Treasurer Jean-Jacques Liodenot noted that the association lacks assets and is seeking support from financial partners like France Active, as banks have declined loan requests.
Revenue has decreased by 30% since the association's relocation, resulting in a 4.3% deficit. Looking forward, the association is awaiting a decision in mid-December regarding a potential contract for the Côte d’Or library, which could provide €45,000 annually for four years. Additionally, the organization is dealing with the aftermath of significant water damage occurring on August 28, which caused approximately €17,000 in damage to stocks and archives while insurance claims remain unresolved.
