Association of Ghana Industries urges concrete action on 24-Hour Economy policy
Seth Twum Akwaboah, President of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), has called on the Ghanaian government to prioritize concrete policy implementation over slogans regarding the proposed 24-Hour Economy initiative. While welcoming the policy as a potential game changer for the industrial sector, Akwaboah emphasized that its success depends on substantive design and consultative development rather than the popularity of its name.
He noted that while the concept was initially unclear to the business community, recent engagements with the government have provided greater clarity. Akwaboah cautioned stakeholders against expecting immediate economic transformation, comparing the rollout to the One District, One Factory (1D1F) initiative, noting that such visions require sustained work to achieve practical results.
