ASST Franciacorta integrates diagnostic images into Electronic Health Record

ASST Franciacorta has begun a progressive migration to the Lombardy region’s Electronic Health Record (FSE 2.0) system, allowing patients to access diagnostic images online alongside written medical reports.

Initially, the service will include common imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and bone densitometry (MOC). The integration aims to eliminate the need for patients to physically collect and carry material supports like CDs or DVDs. This digital transition is intended to facilitate the immediate sharing of documentation with specialists and primary care physicians, thereby improving continuity of care.

Alessandra Bruschi, Director General of ASST Franciacorta, stated that the integration represents a significant service improvement, making documentation more accessible while ensuring data security and privacy. Patients can access these records via the regional Electronic Health Record portal or the dedicated mobile app using credentials such as SPID or the Electronic Identity Card.
