ASST Rhodense appoints new vaccination director and announces flu vaccine open day

ASST Rhodense has announced the appointment of Dr. Luigi Vezzosi as the new Director of the Complex Structure for Vaccinations and Infectious Disease Surveillance, effective September 16, 2026. Dr. Vezzosi is a specialist in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine with extensive experience in public health, epidemiology, and regional disease surveillance in Lombardy.

In addition to his clinical leadership, Dr. Vezzosi serves as the Secretary General of the Italian Society of Hygiene, Preventive Medicine and Public Health (SItI) for the 2025-2026 biennium. He has also held academic roles at the University of Milan and the University of Brescia.

Separately, ASST Rhodense is participating in the Lombardy Region’s vaccination open day to combat influenza. On October 3, vaccination sessions will be held at the Community Houses in Passirana, Corsico, and Bollate. Reservations for the general public open on September 25 via the regional health portal and do not require a doctor's prescription.
