AST di Fermo inaugurates new rehabilitation pool in Porto San Giorgio

A new rehabilitation pool has been inaugurated at the Porto San Giorgio site of the AST di Fermo health district in the Marche region. The facility was opened in the presence of Marche Region President Francesco Acquaroli, regional health assessor Paolo Calcinaro, and various local institutional representatives.

The new structure is designed to expand the therapeutic capabilities of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Unit (UOC) of AST Fermo. The pool will facilitate hydrotherapy treatments for orthopedic and neurological pathologies, post-surgical recovery, gait difficulties, and chronic pain management by utilizing the benefits of an aquatic environment for joint unloading and functional recovery.

President Acquaroli stated that the facility is part of a broader regional strategy to improve and strengthen healthcare services across all local health companies and hospitals, aiming for a more efficient and widespread healthcare system.
