AST Macerata ordered to pay 39,000 euros over unlawful manager revocation

The Macerata Territorial Health Agency (AST) has been ordered by a labor judge to pay approximately 39,000 euros to a former manager following an unlawful revocation of her position.

The dispute originated in 2023 when the leadership of Area Vasta 3 revoked the manager's role within the legal, litigation, and insurance support unit. The employee challenged the decision, noting that her requests for a secondary evaluation or review by an independent body were met with silence from the agency.

The court ruled the revocation illegitimate and ordered the AST to compensate the manager for lost earnings, legal expenses, interest, and monetary revaluation. The total cost to the health agency includes roughly 31,000 euros for the claimant and additional professional fees for the agency's legal counsel.
