AST SpaceMobile delivers three BlueBird satellites to Cape Canaveral

AST SpaceMobile has delivered its next three BlueBird satellites, numbered 14, 15, and 16, to Cape Canaveral, Florida. These satellites are part of the company’s ongoing effort to deploy a low Earth orbit (LEO) constellation designed to provide cellular broadband directly to unmodified smartphones.

The company currently has 13 satellites in orbit and aims to reach a milestone of approximately 45 satellites by early 2027 to deliver stable commercial services. While the company has reported significant revenue growth—reaching nearly $71 million in FY 2025—it continues to operate with a net loss as it scales its infrastructure.

AST SpaceMobile maintains partnerships with over 50 mobile network operators, including AT&T and Verizon, to expand coverage to remote areas. Analysts project that as the constellation expands toward a long-term goal of 248 satellites, revenue could increase significantly through 2028.
