AST SpaceMobile launches three BlueBird satellites, expanding direct‑to‑device broadband network
On June 17, AST SpaceMobile successfully placed BlueBird 8, 9 and 10 into orbit aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 launched from Cape Canaveral. The three satellites enlarge the company's direct‑to‑device cellular broadband constellation, each delivering roughly double the peak data speed of the earlier Block 1 satellites and extending coverage for standard smartphones without additional hardware.
During the same period, institutional investors added to their positions in AST SpaceMobile. AG Campbell Advisory LLC bought 6,583 shares worth about $478,000, and other firms—including Crewe Advisors, Laurel Wealth, Byrne Asset Management, Acumen Wealth and Harvest Fund Management—each reported new stakes ranging from roughly $25,000 to $29,000. Institutional ownership now approaches 61 % of the company’s stock.
