Miltos Tentoglou takes second in Diamond League as Asteras Tripolis wins Greek Cup appeal

Miltos Tentoglou secured second place in the Diamond League long jump final in Brussels with a jump of 8.40 meters. He held the lead until the final attempt of the competition, when Jamaican athlete Tajay Gayle jumped 8.46 meters to take first place. For his performance, Tentoglou earned approximately 10,300 euros, bringing his total 2026 Diamond League prize money to 100,000 euros.

In Greek football, the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) Appeals Committee overturned a previous decision regarding the Greek Cup. Asteras Tripolis has been awarded a 3-0 victory over Levadiakos in the second qualifying round of the League Phase due to the irregular participation of a Levadiakos player. Levadiakos has criticized the decision as “outrageous” and announced plans to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
