Asterisk Talley wins the U.S. Women's Amateur

Asterisk Talley won the 2026 U.S. Women's Amateur at The Honors Course, securing her second USGA title. The 17-year-old from California achieved an 8-and-6 victory over Japan's Anna Iwanaga. While Iwanaga held an early lead, Talley regained momentum with a birdie on the 11th hole and maintained dominance through the afternoon session, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 11th hole.

In the same tournament, Charlotte standout Pinky Chaisilprungruang reached the quarterfinals. After navigating rounds against Jazy Roberts and Raegan Denton, Chaisilprungruang advanced past Rachel Heck following a weather delay caused by lightning. Her run concluded in the quarterfinals against Gabriella Nicastro, who won the match on the 17th hole.
