Asti hosts Festival delle Sagre and traditional peasant parade

The Festival delle Sagre in Asti is underway, featuring various gastronomic and folkloric activities. The event includes numerous stands hosted by local Pro Loco organizations in Piazza Campo del Palio.

A central highlight of the festival is the peasant parade, a historical reenactment involving approximately 3,000 participants. The procession moves through the city's historic center, including Corso Matteotti and Piazza Alfieri, before concluding in Piazza Campo del Palio. The parade depicts the cycle of rural life through four seasonal scenes representing the period between the late 19th and mid-20th centuries.
