Aston Villa agrees deal to sign West Ham defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Aston Villa has reached an agreement to sign defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka from West Ham United. The 28-year-old DR Congo international is expected to join on an initial loan deal.

Reports regarding the permanent transfer terms vary. Some sources indicate the deal includes an obligation to buy at the end of the season, while others suggest it is an option-to-buy. While West Ham initially sought a £25 million fee, reports suggest the potential permanent transfer fee could be approximately £18 million if the clause is triggered.

Wan-Bissaka has been granted permission to travel for a medical in the Midlands. The move comes during a busy transfer window for both clubs; West Ham has secured significant funds through the sales of Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville, while Aston Villa has been active in the market with several new signings including Joao Gomes and Alejandro Garnacho.
