Aston Villa defeats Fenerbahçe 6-0 in Champions League victory

Aston Villa secured their largest European victory to date with a 6-0 win against Fenerbahçe in the Champions League at Villa Park. The match featured goals from Johan Manzambi, Nicolas Jackson, Ross Barkley, and Tammy Abraham.

Nicolas Jackson scored twice during the match, though he was unable to complete a hat-trick after being passed over for a penalty kick. Manager Unai Emery clarified that the decision was based on a pre-established hierarchy, noting that Ross Barkley was designated as the penalty taker due to his high success rate.

The victory provided a significant boost to Villa’s momentum, highlighted by a clean sheet and improved defensive shape. The match also marked the debut of Leon Goretzka for the club.
