Aston Villa faces injury concerns and a dense fixture schedule

Aston Villa is navigating a challenging period marked by injury concerns and a demanding upcoming schedule. The club faces a potential goalkeeper crisis following reports that Zion Suzuki suffered a rib injury while on international duty with Japan. Suzuki has been undergoing recovery and was not included in Japan’s recent friendly against Uruguay.

In addition to the goalkeeper situation, manager Unai Emery must manage several other players currently recovering from injuries, including Pau Torres, Ian Maatsen, Alysson, Brian Madjo, Leon Goretzka, and Marco Bizot.

Following the international break, Villa faces a rigorous fixture list, including nine matches in 30 days across the Premier League, Champions League, and Carabao Cup. The club is also scheduled to play friendly matches against Southampton and Sevilla on October 2 for the Antonio Puerta trophy.
